Participating in The Propagator’s meme, here are six things that made me smile today, even though we’ve had 7″ of rain in the past week! Appropriately, Daylily “Big Smile.”
diamond-dusted and frilly! and from the potager, the season’s first tomato, “Sungold” is nearly ready to pick….
actually, maybe it’s ready! And then since last week, the first watermelon is forming, a “Mini Love.”
New color arrived in the potager in the form of the blue nigella flowers
I’d almost given up on them, as they usually bloom much earlier in the season, but happily they have finally blossomed. One of my favorite plants, who doesn’t like this much rain, is putting on a brave front and looking proud…Silver Southernwood. You should see it in moonlight.
And sixth, the lavendins have joined the earlier lavenders in bloom and the slope smells heavenly!
That’s my six! They made me smile, and maybe you grinned a bit, too. I hope your garden is providing lots of joy.
Oh you give me hope. My plain ole day lilies haven’t bloomed but the Crocosmia are tall as me….well almost any way…and really showing out. Nothing food wish except the lemon tree is doing great.

Yes, I loved all three pictures. We are having continued rain … and a huge thunderstorm as I type. My garden is loving this … this time last summer we were in a parching drought. Thanks for sharing, jan

It’s one of those diamond dusted ones that just shimmers. I love it, too.
